Clay Pollera Tray - In Store Pick Up Only
- Description
The "pollera" is a long, flowy skirt that the Spanish "conquistadores" required indigenous women of several South American countries to wear over in the sixteenth and seventeenth centuries.
Today, they're mainly used in folkloric dances and celebrations. They've moved from an oppressive tool to a symbol of tradition and joy. These trays remind us of the flow and movement of the pollera during these dances.
They're handmade in clay in the region of the Atlantico, Ponedera, Colombia.
